WINTER RE-HANG

A NOTE FROM KATHY

First a note about the reception's:  Friday January 5th there will be combined reception of all three gallery's, ASA, ARTISTS CO-OP. AND THE CHESSMAN GALLERY.... BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 5:00 TO 7:00 PM.

It’s time to start thinking about the WINTER rehang. Please review the guidelines listed below. Artwork will not be accepted after the deadline. However, if you are unable to get your work in on that day, contact me ahead of time to let me know of the problem and I’ll do everything I can to accommodate you.

Gallery Rehang Guidelines

PLEASE NOTE: We will be rehanging the ASA Gallery on Monday, January 1st.  This means that present artwork should be taken down and new artwork brought in before the end of the day on SUNDAY, December 31st.  Artwork must be in the studio by the end of the day on Sunday and will NOT be accepted after Sunday unless arrangements have been made with the Gallery Coordinator. The rehang will take place on Monday instead of Tuesday or Wednesday to minimize interruptions to the Mosaic and Abstract Open Studios.

1. To qualify as a member with display privileges, you must be up-to-date in the payment of your ASA membership dues of $50. This allows you to participate in the quarterly Gallery rehang and secures a bin for matted art pieces as well as a shelf on the card gallery.

2. Your art must have the required hanging hardware, wire secured to the picture frame. No sawtooth hangers! We will not accept bulky, heavy pieces to be hung on the walls due to liability concerns for your art and others’ safety.

3. Please place your protected art in the intake slots under the copy machine or on available tables in the Studio (on Sunday). Fill out appropriate forms:
   A. Hold Harmless Agreement (annual)
   B. Intake form: continue with your previous
form; do not use a new form each time
   C. Black-edged label to be displayed next
      to your work
   D. Small label taped to the back for PAA
      use

4. Current size guidelines are as follows:
3 small (up to 12” per side) pieces
2 medium (up to 20” per side) pieces
1 large (up to 36” per side) piece
Guidelines for small shelf items will be at the Gallery Coordinator’s discretion.

5. Only the Gallery Committee is permitted to organize or display art unless you are bringing in an additional piece to replace one sold. The replacement must be approximately  the same size as the original. No additional display equipment may be brought in unless arranged through the Gallery Coordinator.

Note: Members may not move any art, their own or others, once the display is hung.

Thank you for helping to make this an outstanding display of artwork in the Beachstone Gallery.
