RAKU POTTERY

Learn the art of RAKU Pottery. Participants will be taught the history and the process of RAKU.  Participants will make their own ceramic piece the first day of the workshop.  On the second day you will glaze and fire your RAKU artwork.

This is a two day series, plan to attend both days
Sunday, March 1, 10 AM - 1 PM (clay day)
Tuesday, March 3, 10 AM - 3 PM (Raku day)

Students should wear cotton clothing and covered shoes during the Raku firing process.   Instructor will provided the clay to make one project, one bisque firing, glazes and one Raku firing.    Optional additional fee for a second piece, $12 paid directly to the instructor - cash or check, at the time of the class.     
No experience necessary   
Number of Students: Minimum 4 / Maximum 10

Cancellation Policy:
If a student cancels or withdraws from a class:
One week or more before a class begins, a cancellation fee of $5 for ASA plus the amount required by the instructor will be charged.
Less than one week before a class begins, no refund of registration and materials fees will be made.
If one or more classes in a series are missed due to student absence no refund will be made. Make up sessions may or may not be offered at the discretion of individual instructors.
ASA will make every effort to conduct classes as scheduled. ASA will attempt to remain open during inclement weather. If necessity requires, ASA will cancel classes and studio activities whenever local school closures occur. If ASA cancels a class for any reason: A full refund of class registration and materials fees will be made.
ASA will make every effort to notify students of class cancellations at least one week in advance.
