Create your own Hamsa treasure tin while exploring polymer clay as the basis for mixed media art. A variety of techniques will be used to embellish the cover and inside of a 3.5 x 4.5 tin box. Play with clay, acrylic paint, foil leaf, stamping, textures and "doodads" in your project. No experience needed.
Materials students should provide: 4 each 2 oz Sculpey clay in color(s) of their choice. Small jewelry/ornaments as embellishments.
Materials provided by the instructor: 3.5 x 4.5 tin box. Hamsa Pendant. Limited assortment of embellishments. Available to students for use during class workshop: tools, work surface, and other materials (paints, glue, texture & rubber stamps, clay cutters and clay ovens).
Fee: $65 for ASA members and $70 for non-members
Materials fee: $15.00 Plan to pay materials fee with cash or check at the beginning of class
Expected ability Level: No experience necessary.
