The subject for Guided Open Studio this Thursday, January 9th from 1:00 to 4:00 PM will be trees, all types. Arlon Gilliland will offer guidance and help with techniques as well as lots of photo references. Feel free to bring your own references if you have them. There is never a fee, but donations are appreciated. Please plan on bringing in your own supplies.

Gallery Opening and Reception

Don't forget our Gallery Opening and Reception are this Friday, January 10th at 5:00 p.m. Come see the new French doors from the Co-Op into the classroom, enjoy bites of food and wine (bring a finger food to share if you like), and see the new artwork on display at our own Beachstone Gallery as well as the Co-Op and the Chessman Gallery across the street.

Running low on your favorite art supplies?

Want to experiment with new products? Now is the time to stock up for the winter. ASA will be putting together an art supply order from Blick Art soon.

You can shop and select items from the Blick catalog online at dickblick.com. If you want to be part of the ASA order you need to record all the information required for all the products you wish to purchase. This includes: Item number, quantity, color, size, list price, and Blick price. Send this information to Bill Cary at billcary52@gmail.com by Jan 10 and he will put together the order. Generally, a large order will be shipped in 5-7 business days, but it could take longer and items may be received in different shipments. When the supplies arrive Bill will segment them into separate individual bundles and make them available for you to pick up at the ASA studio. Be prepared to pay for your items by check made out to ASA.

Christmas tree and ornaments

If you brought in Christmas ornaments for display and sale on the ASA Christmas tree please don't forget to come pick them up. The tree will be taken down shortly before our new art goes up this week and the remaining ornaments will be stored in the Art Intake room until you can pick them up.

Where are the Open Studios listed?

Having trouble finding the listing for Guided Open Studio, Mosaic Open Studio, and the returning Art Chat? Those are now under the main Events drop down at the top of every page. Click on the down arrow beside Events and then select Free to ASA Members to see some of the benefits of being a member of ASA.
