One of our most valued perks for ASA members is back on Thursday afternoons!

This Thursday, July 29th from 1 to 4 pm, Arlon will host his weekly Guided Open Studio in the ASA Classroom. The project this week will be Small Subjects, leaves, shells, or rocks.

Registration is not required and neither are masks! Come and enjoy an afternoon of painting with Arlon.

Hi folks,

For the past few months ASA has used the services of a lawn maintenance company with mixed results. The place looks pretty good but the actual problems …grass, morning glory, etc… weren’t dealt with, just covered up with mulch. I would like to invite ALL of you to a work party at the studio, probably mid-August sometime. Each person would take a small area and dig (practically to China, I’m afraid) out as much of the grass/weed roots as possible. After a couple of hours we would pronounce it a job well done and adjourn for a pizza and cold drinks party supplied by ASA or, if members prefer, a potluck supplied by the workers to be served picnic style out in back. It’s been a long time since we’ve all been together. This seems like a great way to start.

Please let me know if you’re interested and whether you would prefer pizza or potluck. If there is a decent response, we will pick some potential dates and send them out.
