Session 2: New Year, New Series (Responding and Evaluation)
About this event
Working in a series is a highly regarded way of exploring your artistic identity. Join artist Tara Choate as she provides exercises and guidance to help you start that series you've always wanted to try. All media are welcome, though technical assistance may be limited in some mediums.
Students must provide:
1. Surfaces to draw, paint, carve, collage, etc.
2. Medium of choice and accoutrements (brushes, etc.)
3. Notebook
4. Pencil
Don't go overboard. The majority of the work will be self-guided and at home. Bring enough to follow along with the exercises, but don't bring your whole studio. Don't buy more stuff.

Registration cancellations will be accepted until Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 5:00 PM
Cancellation Policy:
If a student cancels or withdraws from a class:
One week or more before a class begins, a cancellation fee of $5 for ASA plus the amount required by the instructor will be charged.
Less than one week before a class begins, no refund of registration and materials fees will be made.
If one or more classes in a series are missed due to student absence no refund will be made. Make up sessions may or may not be offered at the discretion of individual instructors.
ASA will make every effort to conduct classes as scheduled. ASA will attempt to remain open during inclement weather. If necessity requires, ASA will cancel classes and studio activities whenever local school closures occur. If ASA cancels a class for any reason: A full refund of class registration and materials fees will be made.
ASA will make every effort to notify students of class cancellations at least one week in advance.
