ASA Raise the Roof Garage Sale
About this event
In April, we will be having our third annual ASA Raise the Roof Garage Sale in conjunction with the citywide garage sale, with proceeds going toward a new roof.
History
The first year we held our garage sale, we were pleased to bring in just under $300. Last year, we were ecstatic to bring in over $2000, due entirely to the enthusiastic support from our membership who inundated us with interesting stuff for our sale. We’d like to try to beat that this year. Every little bit helps.
Donating Items
If you have an item you would like to donate, consider whether it might be appropriate for our garage sale. We’ll take just about anything that is in decent condition. No clothing.
Bring items to the studio and put them on the counter of the ramp room. Please advise Kathy Cope about the addition so she can pick the items up and keep the area uncluttered. Alternatively, let Kathy know and she can come pick things up.
If you’re donating an odd or unusual tool that might not be familiar to the rest of us, please attach a little note saying what it is and what it’s used for. We have a couple of things from last year that I’ve still not ever figured out, but it’s been fun trying.
Work Area Impact
In preparation for the upcoming garage sale, the counter in the ramp room has been cleaned off so that people can bring their donations in and leave them there. If you place something on the counter and leave it unlabeled, it will likely be taken away and packed up for the sale. If you must leave something there, be sure and put your name on it so that it doesn’t end up getting sold!
