About this event

Join Tara Choate as she explores tips and tricks for painting animals (especially horses) and shares ideas for incorporating design so your subjects don't appear "plopped onto" your paper.

This class will focus on design with a "historical tradition" bent.

Younger artists are encouraged to attend, and there will be exercises for precocious artists wishing to become better at depicting animals.

Students should bring lots of paper, drawing supplies, and their medium of choice.

Cancellation Policy:

If a student cancels or withdraws from a class:

1) At least one week before a class begins, students will receive their class fee less a $5 cancellation fee to compensate ASA for costs AND less any amount required by the instructor.

2) Less than one week before a class begins, no refund of registration and materials fees will be made.

Missing Classes: If one or more classes in a series are missed due to student absence no refund will be made. Make up sessions may or may not be offered at the discretion of individual instructors.

Cancelled Classes: ASA will make every effort to conduct classes as scheduled. If a class is cancelled by ASA, students may receive a credit for the full amount they paid or receive a credit to be used for another ASA class. ASA will make every effort to notify students of class cancellations at least one week in advance.

Inclement Weather: ASA will attempt to remain open during inclement weather. If necessity requires, ASA will cancel classes and studio activities whenever local school closures occur.
