The gallery rehang is complete. Thank you volunteers--Richard, Bill, Lisa and Shelley--for doing a fantastic job. The gallery looks amazing! We look forward to seeing everyone at the reception on Saturday, April 4th from 5pm-7pm. Don't forget to bring your friends.

A special thanks to Lisa Olesen for donating a new printer to ASA.  We appreciate your generosity.
Friendly Reminders
Art Outtake

Pick up your art from previous quarters promptly. The art is located in the outtake area. The larger art pieces are located next to the intake area. If you are facing any challenges with pick up, please reach out to the gallery coordinators for help.

Unclaimed art left after 30 days will be donated to the ASA roof fund.
Gallery Guidelines

Some of the art submitted this quarter did not have the proper wire attachments and could not be hung. Please reference our website for the specific hang requirements.

Paperwork

All members wishing to display in the gallery must update their "Hold Harmless" form.

For those who cannot print their own, the forms are in the white binders located in the bottom drawer (grey cabinet to the left of the bathroom) in the ASA gallery.
Art Bins

Bins are sequentially numbered and contain four artists arranged alphabetically. Artists may not have more than ten pieces in their area of the bin. Bin pieces should be no larger than 24" in any direction and the thickness is limited to ¼”. These dimensions include mats and clear plastic cover.

These guidelines will help to ensure all artists are equally represented and visitors can easily view each bin.

April 17-19: Raise the Roof Garage Sale
In just a few days, ASA will be having our third annual Raise the Roof Garage Sale in conjunction with the city-wide garage sale. Proceeds going toward a new roof.

Donating Items
If you have an item you would like to donate, consider whether it might be appropriate for our garage sale. We’ll take just about anything that is in decent condition. No clothing. Bring items to the studio and put them on the counter of the ramp room. If you place something on the counter in the ramp room and leave it unlabeled, it will likely be taken away and packed up for the sale. If you must leave something there, be sure and put your name on it so that it doesn’t end up getting sold! Please advise Kathy Cope about the addition so she can pick the items up and keep the area uncluttered.
Volunteers Needed
Help make the garage sale go smoothly by volunteering to help. We need people for the following jobs:
  • Set-up crew (Thursday afternoon at 4:00)
  • Cashiers
  • Customer services (talking to people about the items available)
  • Organizing and cleaning tables as needed
  • Take down and clean up on Sunday

We still have a large number of beads left over from last year. Kathy Cope has those beads set up on display panels in her home and people are welcome to come over for a preview. ASA has already sold $200 worth of beads from this practice. Soon, Kathy will be starting to take them down and packing them up to get ready for the garage sale. If you would like a sneak peek, please contact Kathy Cope and make arrangements to come over and look at them.
