Instructor Information

Our classroom is perfect for all sorts of art instruction and ASA welcomes new instructors.

Instructors can set their own fee but please remember we are a non-profit organization with a mission to provide affordable art classes to coastal residents and visitors.

Allow your class to be on our schedule for at least six weeks (three months preferred) to allow time to advertise and market your class.

Until the end of December 2026, ASA will deduct a $10 fee, per student, per class day, $20 for non-ASA members. Effective January 1, 2027, ASA will calculate the instructor fee at a variable 10% of the total class cost per student. This change aligns the rental fee with the price of the class. For example, a $40 class will have a $4 per student deduction, so the instructor will receive $36 per student. A $300 class will deduct $30, returning $270 to the instructor.

Use our online form to submit your proposal. You will be prompted to upload images of classroom work. Have your class information ready. The form is available for 30 minutes from the time you begin entering your information.
