ASA Class Policies

The ASA classroom is as warm and friendly as we can make it. With room for up to twenty (20) students, you will have a great time getting to know the other artists in class.

Amenities

There is a small attached kitchen with a refrigerator for your use. The bathroom and cleanup areas are just steps away from the main classroom.

Parking

Student parking is in the back of the building.

Mobility

There are three ways to get into the classroom.

Easiest: Students are welcome to come in through the "front" gallery door which does not have steps or a ramp. The front gallery is entirely without steps, but students will need to climb three steps to enter the classroom.

Medium: By far the shortest route, students will need to climb a flight of stairs.

Longest and most challenging: Due the alarm system, the door to the wheelchair access ramp has to be locked unless a person with a specific code unlocks it. We are happy to do it, but this is not the fastest method.

Registration Cancellations

If you need to cancel your class registration:

  • 7 days or more before the first class: You will receive a refund of your class fee, less a $5 administrative fee and any non-refundable instructor costs.

  • Less than 7 days before the first class: Registration and materials fees are non-refundable.

Missed Classes

No refunds or credits will be issued for classes missed due to a student's absence. Make-up sessions may be offered at the instructor's discretion but are not guaranteed.

Class Cancellations by ASA

If ASA cancels a class, students may choose either:

  • A full refund of all fees paid, or

  • A credit toward another ASA class.

ASA will make every effort to notify registered students as soon as possible of any class cancellation.

Inclement Weather

ASA will make every effort to remain open during adverse weather conditions. However, classes and studio activities may be canceled when weather conditions create safety concerns for students, instructors, staff, or volunteers. Notifications will be provided as soon as possible.

Respectful Environment Policy

The Artists' Studio Association is committed to providing a welcoming, safe, creative, and inclusive environment for all participants. Harassment, hate speech, discriminatory language, bullying, or disruptive behavior directed toward any individual or group will not be tolerated.

To help ensure a positive experience for everyone, ASA reserves the right to remove any participant from classes, events, or activities whose behavior compromises the safety, comfort, or learning experience of others.
