Rules and Policies for Taking a Class With ASA

The ASA classroom is as warm and friendly as we can make it. With room for up to sixteen (16) students, you will have a great time getting to know the other artists in class.

Amenities

There is a small attached kitchen with a refrigerator for your use. The bathroom and cleanup areas are just steps away from the main classroom.

Parking

Student parking is in the back of the building, close to the classroom.

Mobility

Getting into the classroom, you will have to climb about a dozen stairs, three stairs, or no stairs depending on your mobility.

Easiest: Students are welcome to come in through the "front" gallery door which does not have steps or a ramp, but you will need to climb three steps to enter the classroom.

Medium: By far the shortest route, students will need to climb a short flight of stairs.

Hardest: Due the alarm system, the door to the wheelchair access ramp has to be locked unless a person with a specific code unlocks it. We are happy to do it, but this is not the fastest method.

Cancellation Policy:

If a student cancels or withdraws from a class:

1) At least one week before a class begins, students will receive their class fee less a $5 cancellation fee to compensate ASA for costs AND less any amount required by the instructor.

2) Less than one week before a class begins, no refund of registration and materials fees will be made.

Missing Classes: If one or more classes in a series are missed due to student absence no refund will be made. Make up sessions may or may not be offered at the discretion of individual instructors.

Cancelled Classes: ASA will make every effort to conduct classes as scheduled. If a class is cancelled by ASA, students may receive a credit for the full amount they paid or receive a credit to be used for another ASA class. ASA will make every effort to notify students of class cancellations at least one week in advance.

Inclement Weather: ASA will attempt to remain open during inclement weather. If necessity requires, ASA will cancel classes and studio activities whenever local school closures occur.

Statement Against Hate Speech

The Artists' Studio Association is a safe and inclusive space where we respect all individuals. Any form of hate speech or discriminatory language will not be tolerated.
