Card sellers, please note.

It is imperative that PAA is able to read the name of the artist as written on the small label on the back of the card. Please print your last name, then first name or, if space is a problem, the first initial of your name. If you normally go by multiple names, don’t try to squeeze them all into that small space. If the name cannot be deciphered, you are risking not getting credit for that sale.

And, of course, if you’re card is missing that small label, you might as well chalk it up to a donation to ASA.

ASA members!

It’s time to get our monthly member meetings/potlucks going again. We’re going to start up in June…last Tuesday if the month from 6:00-7:30. It’s going to be a spaghetti feed. We will supply the spaghetti and Kim promised garlic bread made with her home-grown garlic. You’re welcome to bring salads or desserts to go along with it.
We would appreciate an RSVP so we know how much spaghetti to make.

The member meetings are traditionally a great time to touch base with other members, air grievances, ask questions and hear from the board about upcoming activities…oh, and eat! You are welcome to bring a guest.

Ideas for future meetings include Pizza, Beer & Bingo in July. We’ll bring the pizza. You bring a can/bottle of your favorite brew. In August, it will be Brats & Barbecue. Looking forward to seeing you.

Taft Middle School Art Show

What a great show! So much color and imagination. The students prepared some really beautiful Tangle designs, gorgeous Art posters, really imaginative bedroom perspective exercises and papier mâché alphabet letters adorned with personal details. There were also studies of famous artists with their portraits and details about their lives and work. Both the Taft Middle School and Taft High Art instructors deserve a lot of credit for the quality of work their students produce.

I would like to thank Arlon, Michele and Kim for all the work they did to set up the show and Ruth and Tony who worked hard to take it all down again. You folks make this all possible.

Our next event will be the Art on the Edge Studio Tour. There will be artists in the studio each day, June 28, 29 and 30, demonstrating work that they are known for. Plan to stop by. It should be both interesting and fun.
