Join Artists' Studio Association

We are a community of artists, teachers, life long learners, who enjoy creating and sharing art.  ASA is a nonprofit . 501(c)(3) corporation with a commitment to bringing arts education to our local community and visitors.   
Basic Membership is $30 per year.   Membership with gallery display privileges is an additional $20.   

Monthly Member Potluck Meeting

On the last Tuesday of each month we meet to enjoy a potluck meal and discuss the business of ASA.
The potluck starts at 6 PM in the ASA classroom. The meeting starts at 6:30.  

Classes and Workshops

Throughout the year ASA offers a wide variety of art classes.  Local and visiting instructors teach painting, drawing, fabric arts, mixed media, acrylic pour, collage and jewelry making and more.
Members receive a discount on classes.  

Painting Open Studios - water media

Painting Guided Open Studio with instructor Arlon Gilliland.
Arlon will plan a painting project for members to follow along.  He demonstrates different techniques, methods and subjects using watercolor and acrylic.  Members may also bring their own projects to work on , get advice and coaching. Open Studio is free for members & guests though donations are welcome. Registration not required.  No materials provided.  Bring you own paint brushes and substrate. 
Thursdays, 1:00 – 4:00 except some holidays.  Check the Event Calendar to confirm. 

Open Studio - mosaic

The mosaic guild meets each Friday afternoon for open studio time and once a month for guild business meetings.  There is no instruction during the open studio, participants should have a entry level knowledge of the process, tools and supplies.   Fridays, 1:00 to 4:00 PM.  Open Studio is free for members & guests though donations are welcome.

Use of the ASA classroom

ASA has a large, comfortable classroom with easy access to cleanup.  When the ASA classroom is not in use for scheduled events or classes, members can request time to work on personal projects.  Check the online Event Calendar.  If the space is open, confirm with the scheduler.  Classroom Scheduler

Beachstone Gallery

The Beachstone Gallery is a place for you to display and sell your artwork.  The gallery display is refreshed quarterly.  The gallery opening and artist's reception is held on the second Friday of January, April, July and October.  ASA members can add, and pay the annual $20 Display Privileges fee, from their personal member profile.

Network with Local Artists

Spending time with fellow artist is an excellent way to recharge your creative battery.  During classes, open studios and member meetings you can find people who will excite you with their unique creations and inspire you to new ideas.  Members have access to the member directory.  

Discussion Forums

Have a question, need some direction, curious about a new technique or product?  You can post a question on the member forum and spark a conversation.  Members can sign up for forums through there personal member profile.  

Members' Art Show

All active members are invited to participate in the annual, juried art show.  Judges evaluate each piece.  Ribbon winners are displayed displayed and visitors vote on the peoples choice award.
