ASA members!
SPAGHETTI FEED  June…last Tuesday of the month from 6:00-7:30.
  If you are planning to attend the June 25 Member Meeting spaghetti feed, please RSVP to Kathy at 541-264-9222 or beachwalkinlady@hotmail.com or to any ASA board member. 


Ideas for future meetings include Pizza, Beer & Bingo in July. We’ll bring the pizza. You bring a can/bottle of your favorite brew. In August, it will be Brats & Barbecue. Looking forward to seeing you.


INFORMATION ABOUT ART ON THE EDGE
 
Art on the Edge is a self-guided tour of the studio spaces of well-known artists along the Central Oregon Coast for the weekend of June 28, 29 and 30, 2024. Studios will be open from 11am to 5pm each day.
The Artists’  Studio Association, as a working studio and classroom, will be participating in this event. On each of the three days there will be artists in the gallery demonstrating the work that they do.  In some cases, visitors will have an opportunity to try for themselves the process being demonstrated.
The schedule for the participating artists is as follows:

FRIDAY:
Arlon Gilliland: toilet paper roll people
Nancy McEwen: acrylic miniatures
Rosemary Wood-Hemm:  mosaics
Marilyn Peterson: watercolor

Wendy Thompson: graphite and colored pencil

SATURDAY:

Michele Lindsley: assemblage - A Book by Its Better Cover

ALXSw Kathleen West: Art History and Art Enrichment
Elizabeth A Smith: oil and cold wax with opportunities for visitors to try it for themselves

Thursday Guided Open Studio with Arlon Gilliland
One of our most valued perks for ASA members is here Thursday afternoons! 
This Thursday, JUNE 20TH .....Arlon will be hosting his weekly Guided Open Studio in the ASA Classroom.
THIS WEEK WE WILL BE RAVENS AND CROWS WITH WATERCOLORS AND OTHER MEDIUMS!

HAVE REFERENCE ART
 
Registration is not required but UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

What is art if you don’t have fun? This is an "Open" explorative, abstract class for all levels where everyone is both student and teacher.  Every week will be a different technique or approach, some new, some old, using a variety of mediums and surfaces.   Come prepared to play and learn. 

Student experienceBeginners are welcome, no experience necessary.  This class is for everyone.  New processes and new materials with which to experiment!


Comments: This is an open, drop in class.

The SPRING CLASS brochure is here, if you are an artist, and would like to teach a class, please notify the class scheduler

scheduler@asaart.net.  To see about getting on the schedule, there may still be some openings.

 

 

The FALL classes were great, painting, dyeing, mosaic, mixed media, some old favorites and perhaps something new in the season.  Brochures can always be picked up in the ASA classroom.   THE SPRING BROCHURE IS OUT.
