"UPCOMING CELEBRATION"

The Co-op Gallery of Pacific Artists Alliance will be celebrating their 15th Anniversary

On Friday, August 9, PAA is having a reception in honor of their 15th anniversary from 5-7 pm. ASA will also be open and is honored to help celebrate this milestone with them, we will also be supplying a BIG cake so I hope a lot of you come to help eat it.

In preparation for this ASA members have spent a good deal of time getting the front gardens in order. I want to thank Jill Stanoszek for all the weeding in the front, Char Sharkey for pruning the pine tree by the ramp and getting rid of the GIANT thistle that was growing next to it, and Steve Rutherford for laboriously cleaning up the southeast corner of the parking lot and all the daisy dead heading. There's a little bit left to do but it looks great.

We do have a rather large debris pile that needs to be taken to the dump. If there is anyone out there with access to a truck who could haul this away for us, it would be greatly appreciated. You would be reimbursed for any expense incurred. Please let me know.

What is art if you don’t have fun? This is an "Open" explorative, abstract class for all levels where everyone is both student and teacher. Every week will be a different technique or approach, some new, some old, using a variety of mediums and surfaces. Come prepared to play and learn.

Student experience: Beginners are welcome, no experience necessary. This class is for everyone. New processes and new materials with which to experiment!

Comments: This is an open, drop in class.
