A MESSAGE FROM KATHY
1. Just a reminder that we are meeting at the ASA studio on Saturday from 10:00-2:00 for a garden clean-up. If you would like to deadhead some daisies or take out your aggressions on stubborn grass, please come by. Whether for half an hour or the the whole four hours. If you have any tools, please bring them.
2. If you check the ASA Calendar you will know that we have a Gallery change-over at the end of the month. We will be hanging the new artwork on Monday, September 30th, which means that the artwork will need to be in the studio by Sunday, September 29th.
Artwork will NOT be accepted after Sunday unless you have made previous arrangements with me, Gallery Coordinator.
Just a recap of rehang requirements:
A. Hanging artwork must be wired. Sawtooth hangers or hooks attached to the picture back will NOT be accepted and the piece will NOT be hung.
B. A hold harmless form needs to be signed annually. You do not need a new form each year, it is sufficient to date and sign your present for with a current date.
C. It is advisable to record your artwork on an inventory form so that there is a record of items that come into and leave the gallery.
D. Artists may hang 1-3 pieces depending on the size of the pieces and the space available. No piece larger than 46-40 inches or very heavy pieces will be accepted.
E. Two types of labels are required for each piece. Please fill these out when you bring your peice in. Having to fill out missing labels makes me grouchy. The first label is the small, rectangular paper label that is used by PAA when it sells, and the second one is the black-edged display label that is put on the wall to identify the artwork and the artist.
