Subject: ASA Update
From: Artists' Studio Association

FROM KATHY COPE
This is a little late because I keep forgetting to get my stuff in on time for the Update.  But I did want to report that the autumn rehang went well.  Again, we have a lot of beautiful new artwork.  If you couldnt't make it to the reception, come on in and take a look.
The winter rehang will take place on January 6, hich means the artwork hanging now should be taken down by Saturday, Jan 4th, and the new artwork needs to be in the studio by the end of Sunday, Jan 5th.  Remember~ We do not automatically rehang work that is not taken down.  If you would like your work to be displayed for another quarter, you must let me know before the rehang. Thanks to Richard for his help with the rehang and to all artists who participate.
~Kathy
HELP WANTED!
As of Jan 1, 2025 we will need someone to take care of the bottled water and soft drinks.  I don't mean to target the open studios but someone who is here every week for one of those would be an ideal candiate.
The job includes:
Check the refrigerator weekly and refill soft drinks as needed from the stock cupboard in the kitchen.
Inventory stock of drinks in the cupboard and either purchase drinks, and be reimbursed, as needed, or let the Gallery Coordinator know so that they can purchase them.
~Kathy

CHRISTMAS

I am planning to put the Christmas tree up the first week of November so get your ornaments ready.  I'm going to arbitrarily set it as six ornaments per artist but you are welcome to put extras in the red box above the printer so that they can be added to the tree in case of sales or low participation.  The ornaments also require the small PAA label.
~Kathy

NOVEMBER

Last year I gave myself a Birthday party in place of the November meeting which had been canceled.  I want to do the same this year...but instead of having one for myself, I want to have a party for ANYONE WHO HAD A BIRTHDAY THIS YEAR.  It will be held on November 26th from 4:00 - 7:00 pm following the mosaic open studio.  I will bring the cake and ice cream.  Folks who come are welcome to bring additional food.  BUT NO PRESENTS!
~Kathy

A  NOTE FROM KIM

The Artists’ Studio Association is calling for Featured Artists for 2025.
It’s time to plan for ASA’s Featured Artist for 2025.  If you would like to be one of the Featured Artists, Please contact Kim Hagans by email: kim.hagans@yahoo.com.  She would like a list of your top 3 preferred months.  Kim will try to give you one of your preferred months, but if there are multiple people who desire the same months, there will have to be a drawing, in a transparent way, as to who will get what month. If there are more than 12 respondents, there will also be a drawing for who gets in for 2025, and who will get in for 2026. Everyone will get a fair and equal chance.
