A NOTE FROM YOUR GALLER COORDINATOR
THIRD AND FINAL NOTICE
 
 
Hi Folks.  There are a few things coming up that I want you to know about.

First, it's early, but I want you to mark your calendars for March 30 which is the last day artwork can be submitted for the Spring rehang  If you forget this date, you can find it on the Calendar of Events on the ASA Website.  You can also find it on a list of events posted above the gray cabinet next to the bathroom.
 
April 18, 19 and 20 ASA will be holding it's second annual "Garage Sale" in conjunction with the City -wide garage sale.  This is a fund-raiser for ASA and we would very much appreciate donations.  If you have any art materials, books, supplies and even artwork that you would like to clean our to f you space (and wouldn't get your feeling hurt if they're sold at the garage sale prices), we welcome any contributions.  I have cleaned off the counter area in the ramp room where donations can be left.  Let me know if you need a receipt for tax purposes.
 
We have also talked about having a Starving Artist Sale.  I would like to see this done in late summer so that we can take advantage of outdoor spaces.  I would also like to make this an Event rather than just another art sale, and I feel that this calls for a committee.  If you would like to take part in the planning for this activity, please let me know.

Thursday Guided Open Studio with Arlon Gilliland
One of our most valued perks for ASA members is here Thursday afternoons! 
This Thursday THERE WILL BE OPEN STUDIO..  FEBRUARY 27th   WE WILL BE PAINTING SEAGULLS........ Arlon WILL BE HOSTING his weekly Guided Open Studio in the ASA Classroom. 
 
BE CREATIVE AND FEEL FREE TO TRY NEW TECHNIQURES.
 
 
HAVE REFERENCE ART
BUT YOU CAN HAVE FUN AND DO YOUR OWN DISIGN
 
Registration is not required.

MOSAIC OPEN STUDIO
Tuesdays 1:30pm - 4:30pm
Each week, our mosaic guild members create
lovely, unique artwork using glass, tile, grout and imagination. ASA members with a basic knowledge of mosaic techniques and safety are welcome.

WATERCOLOR & ACRYLIC OPEN STUDIO
W/ Bonnie Holubetz (503) 502-1000
Wednesdays 10am - 3pm
This is an “Open” exploratory, watercolor/acrylic for all levels. Every week will be a different technique or approach, some new, some old, using a variety of mediums and surfaces.

GUIDED WATERCOLOR OPEN STUDIO
W/ Arlon Gilliland
Thursdays 1pm - 4pm
Guided by Arlon, members practice painting skills in a friendly supportive atmosphere. Follow the planned lesson or bring your own project. You provide your own materials.
