TIME TO RAISE THE ROOF
(And put a new one underneath)

After years of patching the roof here and there as needed, it's time to bite the bullet and replace the whole thing.  This, of course, will be spendy.  Rather than take a huge chunk out of our operating funds or put ourselves under obligation with a loan, we are going to concentrate on grants and fundraisers.  Bonne is studying the whole grant-writing process and would probably love to have a couple of enthusiastic volunteers to help with that.  And our first fundraiser will be the Garage Sale in April.
 
One of the high points of the Garage Sale will be a bead sale.  ASA was the recipient of a vast number of beads of all kinds as well as some making materials.  These will be sold at a 50% discount.  If you are interested in checking the beads out before the Garage Sale, let me know and I'll get them out for you.
 
GARAGE SALE
 April 18, 19 and 20 ASA will be holding it's second annual "Garage Sale" in conjunction with the City -wide garage sale.  This is a fund-raiser for ASA and we would very much appreciate donations.  We will be selling art related materials and supplies in good condition and would like to get rid of them to make room for new supplies, please consider donating,  If you have any art materials, books, supplies and even artwork that you would like to clean our to f you space (and wouldn't get your feeling hurt if they're sold at the garage sale prices), we welcome any contributions. You can bring them to the studio and leave them in the ramp room or give me a call and I can pick them up.  The money generated from the Garage Sale will go toward our New Roof Fund.  Donate! Buy! or just let everyone know about it.

Thursday Guided Open Studio with Arlon Gilliland
One of our most valued perks for ASA members is here Thursday afternoons! 
This Thursday THERE WILL BE OPEN STUDIO..  MARCH 6th   WE WILL BE PAINTING CHICKENS........ Arlon WILL BE HOSTING his weekly Guided Open Studio in the ASA Classroom. 
 
BE CREATIVE AND FEEL FREE TO TRY NEW TECHNIQURES.
 
 
HAVE REFERENCE ART
BUT YOU CAN HAVE FUN AND DO YOUR OWN DISIGN

MOSAIC OPEN STUDIO
Tuesdays 1:30pm - 4:30pm
Each week, our mosaic guild members create
lovely, unique artwork using glass, tile, grout and imagination. ASA members with a basic knowledge of mosaic techniques and safety are welcome.

WATERCOLOR & ACRYLIC OPEN STUDIO

Wednesdays 10am - 3pm
This is an “Open” exploratory, watercolor/acrylic for all levels. Every week will be a different technique or approach, some new, some old, using a variety of mediums and surfaces.

GUIDED WATERCOLOR OPEN STUDIO
W/ Arlon Gilliland
Thursdays 1pm - 4pm
Guided by Arlon, members practice painting skills in a friendly supportive atmosphere. Follow the planned lesson or bring your own project. You provide your own materials.
