INSTRUCTORS:

The new brochure will be coming out in a few days. For additional exposure, particularly those of you with classes early in the month, I want to encourage you to make use of the Instructor's Wall between the entrance to our Gallery from PAA and the bathroom. Having examples of upcoming classes hanging on that wall or sitting on the table beneath can be extremely eye-catching and if there is information about related classes there also, you are likely to get some additional registrants.

SPRING REHANG REMINDER!

REMINDER!...ARTWORK FOR THE SPRING REHANG MUST BE IN THE STUDIO BY SUNDAY MARCH 30.

You are welcome to bring it in sooner than that at your convenience and store it in the intake area underneath the printer.

You must be a paid up ASA member with hanging privileges to participate in the rehang.

Requirements for size and number of pieces will stay the same. However, it is very possible we will not be able to hang more than one large or two medium or small pieces per person.

Up to 12" per side: 3 pieces

Up to 24" per side: 2 pieces

Up to 36" per side: 1 piece

Hanging artwork MUST have a wire for hanging. Artwork with sawtooth or tab hangers will NOT BE HUNG.

Each piece of art requires two labels...a black-banded card label for the wall and the small PAA label for the back of the piece. Labels and paperwork will be sent out on one of the tables the week before the rehang. Before then you can find them in one of the drawers in the gray cabinet next to the bathroom.

Thursday Guided Open Studio with Arlon Gilliland

One of our most valued perks for ASA members is here Thursday afternoons!

This Thursday THERE WILL BE OPEN STUDIO.. MARCH 27th WE WILL BE PAINTING FREE-FORM COLORFUL ABSTRACT PAINTINGS. A PLAY DAY...NEEDS TO COME FROM YOUR OWN FEELINGS. BUT PLAY IS IMPORTANT!........ Arlon WILL BE HOSTING his weekly Guided Open Studio in the ASA Classroom.

BE CREATIVE AND FEEL FREE TO TRY NEW TECHNIQURES.

HAVE REFERENCE ART

BUT YOU CAN HAVE FUN AND DO YOUR OWN DISIGN

Registration is not required.

Each week, our mosaic guild members create
lovely, unique artwork using glass, tile, grout and imagination. ASA members with a basic knowledge of mosaic techniques and safety are welcome.

This is an “Open” exploratory, watercolor/acrylic for all levels. Every week will be a different technique or approach, some new, some old, using a variety of mediums and surfaces.

GUIDED WATERCOLOR OPEN STUDIO

Thursdays 1pm - 4pm
Guided by Arlon, members practice painting skills in a friendly supportive atmosphere. Follow the planned lesson or bring your own project. You provide your own materials.
