Gothic Gals” shine on this mini shrine as the focal point.  We will explore polymer clay as the basis for mixed media art using a variety of techniques. During class, alter and embellish a wood shrine substrate with clay, gothic images, textures, gold leaf foil, acrylic paint and “doodads”.

Materials students should provide: 3 x 2 oz packages of Sculpey III, all of the same color for the background. Suggest Umber or darker brown clay. Small jewelry pieces/ornaments, metal beads and rhinestones as embellishments.

Additional tools and other materials (paints, glue, texture & rubber stamps, clay cutters and clay ovens) available to students for use during class workshop.
