Participants will learn an art therapy technique using air dry clay. Students will learn the use of totems for important life events. You will also learn some basic clay techniques in order to create a totem and be provided with tools to use. You will make a small clay totem to take home.
Short Description: Learn about the purpose of using totems for significant life events. Learn some basic clay techniques and create your own totem to take home.
Materials students should provide: No additional materials are needed. Students may choose to paint their totems once they are dry at home with nail polish or acrylic paint.
Materials provided by the instructor: Air dry clay, clay tools
Fee: $15 for ASA members and $20 for non-members. $5 materials fee if you elect to use instructors supplies. Plan to pay with cash or check at the beginning of class
Expected ability Level: Beginners welcome, no experience necessary
Number of Students: Minimum 2 / Maximum 16
