Embellish a small wooden frame with polymer clay, creating a niche that displays a small, treasured ornament. The shallow recess opens up more opportunities as we explore mixed media art. Create “tiles”, apply textures, stamps, acrylic paint and “doodads” to add dimension. Come play along with us!
Materials students should provide: Small jewelry, ornament, or figure for a centerpiece, less than 2 x 2 inches. Four each 2 oz Sculpey clay in color(s) of choice. Embellishments as desired.
Materials provided by the instructor: Wood frame, and limited assortment of embellishments. Available to students for use during class workshop: tools, work surface, and other materials (paints, glue, texture and rubber stamps, clay cutters and clay ovens)
Fee: $65 for ASA members and $70 for non-members.
Materials fee: $12.00 plan to pay materials fee with cash or check at the beginning of class
Expected ability Level: No experience necessary.
